FreshTracks Glenshee - FAQ's
What should we wear for a day of snowsports at Glenshee?
Clothing - Although we do hire Snow Jackets and Pants for adults and suits for children, we recommend a layering system of other clothing for maximum flexibility and warmth. Thermal under makes for a good base layer along with a polo neck or a snood. Socks should be long enough to cover the shin and be seam free and for maximum comfort only one pair is recommended. A hat that protects from the cold or gives protection from the sun. (see below info regarding helmets)
Helmet - The International Ski Federation strongly recommend the use of helmets for recreational skiing. Helmets are compulsory for children under 16 in our ski & board school. We would also recommend hiring a helmet for all ages of skier.
Goggles - Goggles give best protection for fast skiing or in the snow and rain. Sunglasses should have full UV protection. We have a range of goggles and glasses to buy in our shop to suit children and adults.
Gloves – Gloves should be made from insulated leather or manmade waterproof fabric, they will keep your hands warm and dry and provide protection. We have a range of gloves to buy in our shop to suit children and adults.
